What medication?

Just wondered if anyone can recommend a brand of fish medication that is not harmful to snails?

Welcome to the Forum!
i have found Melafix - natural Tea Tree - to be ok with most snails, although i cant say as they seem to like it.
As a general rule, no chemicals used for medication are safe to use with snails, they are much more sensitive than fish.
If you have a fish disease in your aquarium, remove your snails to temporary accomodation, then treat as normal. After the course of treatment, make sure you run activated carbon in the filter for a couple of weeks prior to the snails reintroduction, also perform a 25-40% water change just to make sure any residual levels of any chemicals are weak.

Thank you for your reply. I have got some Seachem Paraguard that says its supposed to be safe. Do you have any experience of this product?

No, it wont be safe for snails. It states that its safe for all fish and filters, but does not mention snails. It contains Malachite, which is an extremely dangerous chemical. In fact its been proven to be carcinogenic to humans (causes cancer ) so i would advise to stay well away. As part of my degree I worked on salmon farms in the highlands where they used this chemical frequently (and illegally ) hence i dont eat Salmon anymore unless its organic!
