Hi David and welcome to the Forum! Very Happy
There are many factors involved. You will have to acclimatise the pond snails to the aquarium - SLOWLY as the temp outside is still alot colder than inside most homes. Also pH may be different and other water parameters.

If either your pond or tank has had some form of disease and/or treatment in the past few months then it is ill advised.

Expect some critters to hitch a ride on your snail - rinse the snail thoroughly in tank water prior to adding to the tank to remove as much organic and live debris as possible. You may get flatworms (harmless) which often hide inside the shells of snails, daphnia and other larvae in your tank as a result. Most pond critters are harmless and will usually be filtered out by the power filter (if you have one!?) The harmful ones include leeches, dragon and damsel fly larvae, diving beetle larvae etc. but these are more obviously seen to be hitching a ride! Shocked

My advice is to fill a container from your aquarium and gently acclimatise the snail. Keep the snail in there overnight and all critters should now be in that water (and not in your aquarium! Laughing ) Then you can safely place the snail in your main aquarium. sunny
hope this helps.
