Hi there looking for some advice please!

We recently got a bunch of plants for out 200Litre Tank and all was well, but now we seen to have a snail infestation.
Some of the little rascals must have hitched a ride with the plants.

These things are breeding like crazy and devouring some of the plants.

WHat can anyone suggest to counter this?

Problem is we have some "friendly" snails that we don't wish to harm ( 1x Tiger Nerite 1x Ruby Nerite and several Malaysian Trumpet snails )

Hello Mister X, welcome to the forum!
Very Happy
Its a bit tricky to advise as you have other snails in your tank that you want to keep. You have a couple of options i can think of- squish or remove the physid/ tadpole snails (i imagine this is what they are) or introduce Assassin snails and remove the snails you like to temporary accomodation. Either option will take some time to be effective if you have a real infestation of tadpole snails. I wouldnt advise the use of chemicals as it often leaves a lot of rotting dead snails in the tank and causes more problems than it solves. Mad Hope this helps. alien

Sound advice
We'll persevere!

**edit**
after looking up Tadpole Snails, I can confirm it is them indeed.

Thanks again!
