PostSubject: Where to buy crabs.   Wed Aug 19, 2009 11:59 am

Im thinking off getting some aquatic freshwater red crabs sesarma bidens.
I have been reading up on line about this breed and other aquatic crabs.
But i cant find anywhere on line to buy them does anybody know where i can.

Hello Mr Crabs,
Snail Shop has Vampire crabs for sale, but these require a terrarium and cant be put into an aquarium without a large land area. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply i was hoping to get some red crabs as have everything ready to setup.If i cant find any red crabs or maybe fiddlers these vampire crabs look excellent i have a tank lying about 30x12x12 could i use this.
Any info would be of help. Idea

Yes you could use a 30 inch tank, that would be fine for a group up to about 6 crabs.

If you didnt want to go to the trouble of making a separate water section in the tank using glass and silicone, then a simple water tray about 1-2 inches deep works well also.
