Love is in the air!!!

Well, for the last day or so I have noticed in the goldie tank that things have been getting a little heated!

I noticed my blue/green apple snail hitching a lift on the back of the pearl apple snail and didn't think anything of it as it's not unusual to see that happen

Anyhoo, when I looked at the tank tonight, there is the blue snail doing exactly the same thing again. Aw how lazy, I thought, but on closer inspection, it would appear these snails are a bit 'closer' than I first realised...



What's strange about that? Well look closer!

No...closer!



I wonder if I'll have the trail of little slimers running round the tank soon?

Congratulations on your humping snails , keep an eye out for eggs....

Do I need to do anything in particular now? The water level in the tank isn't that low so they have about 3 inches before the lid starts but loads of room under the two lid flaps to lay if they want.

Just sit back and wiat for eggs. One word of advice, male snails often mount other males; they get a little confused sometimes! You know now that that blue is a male, but the other may not be.

Well if he's confused, he's certainly found somewhere to 'put' his confusion
